ambient pilgrimage

‘what matters most on your journey is how deeply you see, how attentively you hear, how richly the encounters are felt in your heart and soul.’

description
a set of four field recordings to re-interpret the four named places of brian eno’s album ‘ambient 4 – on land’.
‘on land’ was recorded between september 1978 and january 1982 and released in march 1982.
the album became a personal influence on early artworks, somehow expressing an imaginative landscape in sound that related to my new visual work.
‘on land’ became a reference point that would eventually lead to an exploration of making soundscapes using field recordings blended with single-take musical processes as released under the artist alias ‘being’. discogs profile
